Alberta Soaring Council Spring Safety Seminar

This is a notice from Phil Stade, Executive Director of this years ASC Spring Safety Seminar on March 24th.

The ASC Spring Safety Seminar has become the focus for Alberta pilots to begin their new season of soaring. The venue for the seminars will be the Old Officers Mess in Springbrook, Alberta. I have attached a Google Earth view of Springbrook (Red Deer Airport) with the building location noted.

John Mulder has again taken on the task of organizing the presentations but we need suggestions from you to round out the event. Please respond regarding your attendance and suggestions by clicking on the following link.

Please consider car pooling. ASC will assist with the cost of travel when you do.
Thanks
Phil Stade

p.s. – please let me know if you have trouble with the survey link – it’s my first attempt at using the program 🙂

Winter Rust Remover and Sim Night

Last week our club spent an evening where we reviewed soaring checklists and had fun putting them into practice on the sim. The simulator software we were using is called “Condor”.  Many real life pilots use this software to keep in the groove during the winter months.  Fun time by all!

News Headline “ESC Soaring in December”

Well the few lucky Canadians from the “Edmonton Soaring Club” flew last weekend.  They are so dedicated to brave the winter weather and we are all envious of this opportunity.

Good Show.  Here is a video of Scott Holmes flying.

Enjoy

Ready to Soar

Due to the lack of snow and mild conditions here in Grande Prairie is decided to check out “WZ” and grab some articles I left in the cockpit in the fall.

Everything looks good, no mice etc.   Sure wish I could got flying with her!

Today our friends at the Edmonton Soaring Club are taking up some sailplanes to fly.  I asked them to take a few photo to tease us all.

Enjoy you day!
