Here is some pics of our time at the Edmonton Soaring Club. There Les Oiland maidened his Phoebus C after its new paint job. Peter Miles worked on his glider pilot conversion and soloed. Congrats! As for myself. I had a 2.5 hour flight with my ASW 20C touring the countryside. Lots if fun by all!!
We are planning to have a barbeque at the Beaverlodge Airport on June 23rd at 6:00 pm. Bring your own food and we will supply the barbeque. During the barbeque we would like to discuss the possibility of attending the Edmonton Soaring Club Flying weekend July 7th and 8th at Chipman.
Hope to see you there!
We had a great time tonight flying on the Condor Simulator. We were flying at Cowley Alberta. Our Diamond pilots had a couple successful flights as you can tell from the photos.
This is a notice from Phil Stade, Executive Director of this years ASC Spring Safety Seminar on March 24th.
The ASC Spring Safety Seminar has become the focus for Alberta pilots to begin their new season of soaring. The venue for the seminars will be the Old Officers Mess in Springbrook, Alberta. I have attached a Google Earth view of Springbrook (Red Deer Airport) with the building location noted.
John Mulder has again taken on the task of organizing the presentations but we need suggestions from you to round out the event. Please respond regarding your attendance and suggestions by clicking on the following link.
Please consider car pooling. ASC will assist with the cost of travel when you do.
p.s. – please let me know if you have trouble with the survey link – it’s my first attempt at using the program 🙂
Last week our club spent an evening where we reviewed soaring checklists and had fun putting them into practice on the sim. The simulator software we were using is called “Condor”. Many real life pilots use this software to keep in the groove during the winter months. Fun time by all!
